Hello everyone,
I’ve been teaching myself how to edit up an interview for this post, so thanks for your patience! Today, something fresh, I’m sharing extracts of a conversation with an insightful lady we’ll call ‘Louise’.
In this session, Louise shares her struggles with work-induced anxiety, stemming from a challenging HR situation and the desire for flexible working hours. Her story unfolds with her navigating her rights with the union's support, amidst fears of job insecurity.
We explore the triggers of self-doubt, and the hurdles of asserting one's rights in the workplace.
Beyond the office, Louise opens up about her internal battles with self-judgment, stemming from her past. We discuss the challenge of finding a balance between earning a living and maintaining self-care as Louise plans to confront her fears, stand firm in her decisions, and continue to manage her anxiety at work and beyond.
I’ve tried to include the most important points of my conversation with Louise, but the session has been edited for brevity and anonymity.
I’ve focussed on the trail of insight ‘breadcrumbs’ Louise achieved during this session, rather than practical anxiety management techniques that she and I have discussed during other sessions over the long-term.
