Hello my friends,
Here’s the second instalment of the Ten Percent Less Anxious Diaries.
If you tried 3 minutes of yoga and 10 full yoga breaths each day last week, or even once or twice, I wonder how you found it? Was there any sense of it helping you to feel less anxious, any satisfaction in being proactive about your emotional health?
This week let’s re-awaken our basic mindfulness, which is at core, identifying with the deepest, wisest part of ourselves, instead of getting swept away by scary thoughts and anxious feelings.
I made the four and a half minute video below to help take us to that place inside, and to remind us who we really are, via a simple meditation on the breath.
It’s just a couple of minutes of watching your thoughts, sensations and reactions come and go, while you consciously abide in a place of safety and peace, behind all of that noise.
I certainly feel good about reinvigorating my personal practice, so I hope this is also useful stuff for you. Please let me know.
Let’s keep going with the yoga and full yoga breaths from Week One this week too, adding this mindfulness on the breath. All in all, what I’ve recommended so far shouldn’t take more than about 8 minutes in total to do and will benefit you throughout the day.
We can manage 8 minutes, right?
Love and lower anxiety to you,
